Wildlife will always be around us, whether we live in a city or out in the country, and when their habitat overlaps with ours, this can lead to many problems.

The main reasons why you might see wildlife near your home is that they can find something they need there. Usually this will be shelter, food or water. Denying access to these three things can solve the problem without having to get a wildlife expert involved or hurting the animals.

A simple first measure would be to put up fencing around your home. Depending on the animals that you want to keep out though, you need to consider their abilities to make it past the fence by digging, jumping or just breaking it down.

Rodents should be denied access to your home by putting grates on any exhausts coming out, as well as sealing up cracks and crevices that might seem too small for anything to make it through. A determined rodent can squeeze through places where you would not think it possible.
