Many homeowners are worried about clogs in their pipes. While it is true that clogs are inconvenient and even harmful in some cases, their worries are more about the price of a plumber for fixing the problem.
Usually though, if you are able to catch the clog early on, you might be able to take care of the problem before it becomes a major issue. This is why you want to be able to recognize signs of a clog.
So what should you be on the lookout for?
One early sign that is easy to miss is when your water drains slower than it used to. It is a good detail to be attentive to since that indicates there already is a clog in the making inside of the pipe.
Another sign is when you hear weird noises coming from other drains in your home when you are running water. This is indicating that air is being pushed out of the pipe in the closest place possible due to the clog.
Once you know there is a clog, a snake or a plunger might be sufficient to take care of the problem.
