Have you recently bought a home that has a dishwasher? If so, are you familiar with how to use it? If it is your first time using one, you should be careful not to make the mistake of using regular dish soap in the dishwasher. While this might seem like it shouldn’t be a problem, it could actually be a major headache. Even if you know better than to do this, it is possible that a visiting family member decides to help with the dishes and uses dish soap in your dishwasher.
You will notice the problem fairly quickly when there are bubbles coming out of your dishwasher making a huge mess. What you need to do at this point is to stop the washer as soon as possible, take out all the dishes, as well as, any loose racks and wash them in the sink. If possible, scoop out any soapy water that you can. If you have a wet vacuum, you can carefully use that, as well, to get as much out as possible. After that you need to run repeated rinse cycles to clean the machine out. If you don’t do this, you will have a big soapy mess every time you use the machine for some time to come.
