Got an e-mail today asking for a quote to inspect a home for sink hole, got me to thinking about who is actually qualified to inspect for a sink hole and how does one go about inspecting for that? Are there any obvious signs? Perhaps a geologist would be more qualified, and what tools would they use to determine that a property would be more susceptible to this growing problem? A GPR (ground penetrating radar) is most likely used and is very very expensive. As you hear more and more of this every day, earlier this year a large  sink hole captured several rare corvette’s at the Corvette museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Word has it that they are going to keep the hole as it has become in itself another visual center piece for the museum.
